Alcohol Alcohol

Alcohol

Takeaway

Alcohol is not available as part of our takeaway service. If you wish to take alcoholic drinks out of a restaurant then you will need to check with the Restaurant Manager. This is because our alcohol licensing varies from restaurant to restaurant.

Corkage

Sorry, our pizzerias do not have the licence to allow customers to bring their own alcohol.

Offer Restrictions

Licencing laws in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Jersey prohibits licensed premises from offering alcohol as a reward or prize.

Unfortunately, this means any offer for free alcohol would therefore breach licensing conditions and could result in the individual restaurant managers losing their personal licenses, which is not a position we can put them in. This is why we exclude such offers from our restaurants in these areas. Please be assured that we have no intention of discriminating our customers and this is why we will always include a non-alcoholic option for these offers.

Challenge 25

Currently, we have a Challenge 25 policy, which means that if someone is over the age of 18 however looks younger than 25 years old, our team members are required to check their identification before selling them alcohol. Failure to do so, could cause the license holder to lose their license as well as the risk of receiving a personal fine.

The acceptable forms of ID to prove you are over 18 include:

• A photo driving licence

• A passport

• A proof of age card, such as the PASS card from the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme.

Young people aged 16 or 17 can consume one beer, wine or cider in our pizzerias with a main meal if accompanied by a responsible adult. It is illegal for this age group to consume spirits, even with a meal.

Adults cannot buy alcohol for the 16 or 17-year-olds and then leave the pizzeria and return later. The alcoholic beverage can only be purchased and paid for by the adult at the table. An adult is someone of 18 years or over. If the waiter is in any doubt that the adult buying the alcohol is not 18, then they will ask for proof of age identification. Similarly, if the waiter is in any doubt that the 16 or 17-year-old is indeed that age, we may also ask for proof of age identification in that instance.
